The partnership between i4sea and Porto do Açu enabled the implementation of i4cast®, i4sea's proprietary climate intelligence platform. i4cast® integrates meteorological and oceanographic data, real-time measurements, high-resolution models, and machine learning to answer a central question that ordinary weather forecasting does not: what do these conditions mean for my operation?
Instead of delivering generic data, i4cast® generates output through dashboards built on the client's own team decision-making logic and triggers automatic alerts configured by operational risk event, rather than by generic weather condition.

Risk event alerts and nowcasting: monitoring of immediate-severity phenomena with radar image integration, issuing automatic, contextualized alerts up to 1 hour in advance.

Automated accuracy tracking: continuous analysis and display of RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) to validate the precision of wind, wave, and current forecasts, ensuring transparent data governance for operators.

Alignment with ESG guidelines: optimization of maneuvering windows and reduction of downtime, contributing to shorter vessel engine-on time and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
