3. Identify the most critical operational windows — where an unplanned shutdown costs the most (high-value cargo, vessel with high demurrage rate, night window).

Day 31 to 60: alerts and integration

2. Integrate the alert with the terminal's planning system (TOS or equivalent). Ideally, the information arrives in the planner's decision flow, not in a separate email.

Day 61 to 90: measurement and adjustment

1. Compare the number of unplanned shutdowns before and after implementation.

2. Measure alert accuracy: how many times did the alert get it right vs. how many times did the event not occur?

3. Adjust thresholds based on operational feedback. Each terminal has its own dynamics — fine-tuning is what turns data into trust.
